Senior Site Reliability Engineer

AbbVie Information Security seeks a Senior Site Reliability Engineer for the Cyber Security Engineering team to design, deploy, and maintain security infrastructure supporting cybersecurity operations. This remote U.S. position focuses on ensuring production system reliability, optimizing performance across hybrid on-premise and cloud environments, and automating operational tasks.

Responsibilities

Design and architect systems to enhance performance, reliability, and scalability
Build, implement, and iterate over CI/CD pipelines for deployment automation
Manage microservice and containerized application development, design, and deployment
Implement security controls in distributed systems and coordinate automation across platforms
Develop observability solutions and standardize alerts, monitoring, and incident response processes

Requirements

Bachelor's degree with 7 years' experience, or Master's degree with 6 years' experience, or PhD with 2 years' experience
Cloud platform administration experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Bamboo, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps
Container orchestration experience using Kubernetes or Amazon ECS
Knowledge of Agile/DevOps methodologies and distributed system architectures
Linux and Windows environment administration capability
Strong commitment to security best practices in system design
