You will develop motor control and actuator firmware that spans across Anduril’s fleet of autonomous vehicles on land, air, and sea. The ideal person for this role will have a blend of experience with embedded C and classical control theory (motor control) looking to leverage their passion for firmware and low-level development here at Anduril.WHAT YOU'LL DODevelop motion control systems for applications such as precision actuators and electric propulsionDevelop microcontroller software using an RTOSApplication experience in areas such as robotics, automation, motor control, and sensor fusionDevelop reusable device drivers and application librariesAssist with part selection, board and product designCreate low-level infrastructure to support safety-critical systemsAssist with creation of SITL/HITL test fixtures and simulation environmentsBring up new boards and toolchainsSupport device manufacturing efforts and operational deploymentsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, etc., or equivalent experienceExperience with low level firmware architecture, design and development in CBackground in embedded ARM microcontrollersLow-level device driver development and safety critical systems experienceComfortable with typical embedded systems tools, compilers, debuggers and IDEsBroad experience with microcontrollers, application processors, revision control systemsU.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled dataPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSFamiliarity with common bus protocols such as SPI, I2C, CAN, RS485, etc.Strong debugging skills through use of instrumentation such as oscilloscopes and protocol analyzersExperience with Matlab and Simulink, motor control, or controls theoryUS Salary Range$191,000—$253,000 USDThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
