CVICU RN - Rotating Night/Mids - 36H2YR experience required; will accept first-time travelers w/ CVICU experience. Start Date: 08/10/26; For an 8/10/26 start contract length is 16 weeks, an 8/24/26 start will be 14 weeks. Contract is to have an 11/28 end date. Shift/Hours: 3x12 Nights 19:00-07:30, with a chance of rotating 11a-11p shifts based on unit needs. Block scheduling cannot be accommodated and any other types of special scheduling requests should be submitted with the RTO at time of application submission.

License/cert requirements: MD RN, BLS, CPI, and ACLS required; NIH, OCN, and TCNN preferred. Weekends: every third weekend required, additional weekend shift coverage can be added based on unit needs. Holidays: required as they fall, as scheduled. Floating: required to MSICU as needed. On-Call: 24-32 hours required per rotating 6-week schedule. Avg Daily Census: 3-5. Beds on Unit: 6. Ratio: 1:2. Common patient diagnoses: post-op cardiac surgery (CABG, MVR, AVR), cardiac surgery re-admissions/ICU bounce-backs, structural heart-TAVR, mitral clips, pre-op patients on hospital intensivist list, STEMI/NSTEMI, cardiogenic shock, Inari procedure.

Special Procedure/Unit Details: 1st 6-hours post-op - 2 or more inotropic medications, hemodynamic instability, active management of cardiac output, extreme coagulopathy, open chest, OHS/Impella, ECMO (perfusionist on-site), CRRT (dialysis on-site), IABP, or at surgeon's discretion.

Certs/License Requirements: RN License: Must have an active MD or Compact License at time of submission. Certifications: CPI Certificate Most units will require the CPI certification as part of compliance. The Calm Every Storm online version is currently the only acceptable online vendor. BLS/ACLS/PALS - AHA ONLY NRP NRP or AAP accepted. Compliance: Onboarding: Travelers are required to go in for their labs within 72 hours of signing their contract. Deadline: Compliance document deadline is 5 days prior to start. Modules: Modules are non-billable, factored in NBO.
