General Description Reporting to the Director of maintenance, the Electrician will work as part of the maintenance team to operate, repair, assemble, install, test, troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices and related equipment and maintain resort facilities in a quick, productive, and professional manner. Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 2 years’ experience in a general maintenance environment Previous preventative maintenance program experience an asset Previous experience in a hotel environment an asset Completion of electrician apprenticeship Experience working as an electrician Ability to read blueprints Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring Ability to use hand tools and power tools Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills Red Seal certification Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance, repair, retrofit or other tasks as assigned Monitor and maintain building systems Process work orders as assigned Maintain exterior grounds and secure passageways for all guests and staff Consistently offer professional, engaging and friendly service and lead by example Contribute to a healthy and safe work setting by reporting all safety hazards and working in a safe manner Assist other departments when required Other duties as assigned by manager Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems and remove and replace faulty components Splice, join and connect wire to fixtures and components to form circuits Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records Benefits Travel Fuel Allowance Discounts at the resort's dining areas; The Cape Cliff and Willard Discounts on accommodations, golf and spa services & products and activities Friends and family rates for overnight accommodations Complimentary use of the Junior Olympic Pool, Mineral Pool and fitness room Team member activities and department incentives Team member education funding and bursary program Team member housing availability Fox Harb’r Resort is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
