Pay Range: $49.43 - $61.04 per hour. The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Cardiovascular Technologist to join our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) at RWJBarnabas Health-Community Medical Center. This is an essential clinical role that requires precision, clinical expertise, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of cardiac procedures, exceptional technical capabilities, and a commitment to excellent patient care. Primary Responsibilities Prepare and maintain all cardiac catheterization equipment, monitoring devices, and supplies prior to procedures Assist interventional cardiologists and physicians during diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, coronary angiographies, and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCIs) Manage patient positioning, hemodynamic monitoring, and safety during procedures Operate and troubleshoot cardiac monitoring systems, imaging equipment, and hemodynamic pressure transducers Anticipate physician needs and respond quickly to acute clinical changes or complications Maintain detailed, accurate procedural documentation and patient records Ensure compliance with infection control, safety protocols, and Joint Commission standards Collaborate with anesthesia, nursing, and surgical teams during complex or emergency procedures (STEMIs, LVOs, mechanical circulatory support cases) Assist with equipment maintenance, quality checks, and inventory management Support training and mentorship of new cath lab staff Adapt to changing operational demands, including extended hours and emergency procedures Qualifications Current RVT (Registered Cardiovascular Technologist) certification from ARDMS or CVIT, or equivalent BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification; AHA certification preferred High school diploma or GED; some college or healthcare coursework preferred Reliable attendance and flexibility for on-call coverage Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO) Medical and Prescription Drug Insurance Dental and Vision Insurance Retirement Plans Short & Long Term Disability Life & Accidental Death Insurance Tuition Reimbursement Health Care/Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts Wellness Programs Voluntary Benefits (e.g., Pet Insurance) Discounts Through our Partners such as NJ Devils, NJ PAC, Verizon, and more!
