About the Role
The Company is seeking a Private Credit Managing Director to take on a full-cycle investment role with a focus on the lower middle market. The successful candidate will be responsible for the origination, execution, and portfolio management of 7-8 high-quality sponsor-backed deals. This includes building and owning a portfolio, leading the underwriting and structuring of debt transactions, and actively participating in value creation strategies as a board member. The role demands a professional with a strong background in private credit, mezzanine, or SBIC-backed investing, who can operate with a high level of independence and has a proven track record in both deal origination and underwriting. The ideal candidate for the Managing Director position at the company will have over 10 years' of experience in the relevant investment space, with a preference for those with strong operational and board-level experience. An entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to build and grow a regional franchise are essential. The role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, high-performance culture with a long-term vision, and the candidate should be prepared for a transparent compensation structure with meaningful upside. The company values professionals who can contribute to brand-building in the market and expects the Managing Director to have a significant regional presence, either through an existing network or the ability to establish one.
