DescriptionPosition OverviewThe HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a trusted advisor to mid-level managers and employees, ensuring that human resources initiatives and HR processes are driven into functions that allow and support departmental business goals of designated business units. This role balances operational HR tasks with strategic development programs like talent management, onboarding, performance management, and managerial training.The position reports to the Associate Director, People and Culture and is a hybrid position based in Raleigh, NC.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Business Alignment: Strong business acumen to partner with team leaders and managers to understand business priorities and implement tailored people plans.Talent & Recruitment Management: Proven ability to develop and implement recruitment strategies cross functionally with branding mindset and recruitment fair experience.Process Implementation: Standardize workforce workflows across business units. Roll out new HR initiatives. Audit existing practices. Ensure operational consistency.Training & Development: Assist with skills gaps analysis within specific teams. Implement foundational training workshops. Deliver employee onboarding programs. Facilitate leadership modules for new managers.Employee Relations: Coach managers and facilitate cross functional collaboration on resolving low-to-mid level workplace conflicts, performance improvements, and disciplinary actions.Performance Management: Assist in executing performance review cycles, goal-setting tracking, promotion evaluations, and facilitate compensation planning.Data & Analytics: Utilize HR metrics and build dashboards to identify trends in attrition, engagement, workforce planning, and organizational design of business units.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a liaison between the business unit and HR team.Compliance & Policy: Ensure company operations comply with local, state, and federal employment laws.Core CompetenciesCommunication: Ability to write clearly, present data to managers, and handle sensitive personnel conversations with discretion.Facilitation Skills: Comfortable public speaking and leading interactive group training sessions.Relationship Building: Leading with curiosity and strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff at all hierarchical levels.Problem Solving: Analytical mindset capable of diagnosing systemic workforce issues and proposing practical fixes.Business Acumen: Can build solid understanding of the business in order to ensure HR delivers needed support that is best practice.Preferred QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.Experience: 3-6 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in an HR Generalist or HR Coordinator role with touch points with the businessFacilitator Experience: Demonstrated involvement in executing training programs or implementing workplace process improvements.Legal Knowledge: Foundational understanding of employment standards, labor laws, and workplace safety guidelines.Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hands-on experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).Leadership: Experience leading as part of a team, professional, extracurriculars, and/or in sports.Physical Requirements:Requires on-site presence at the Raleigh, NC office three days per weekUp to 10% travel requiredEqual Employment Opportunity and Employment Eligibility Mayne Pharma provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
