Senior Medical Science Liaison - Obesity & Related Conditions - MN/ND

Amgen Inc

Senior Medical Science Liaison position within Amgen's Medical Affairs team covering Minnesota and North Dakota. The role involves serving as a scientific resource to healthcare providers and opinion leaders in obesity and related conditions, executing medical strategy, and supporting clinical research initiatives.

Responsibilities

Conduct peer-to-peer scientific exchanges with opinion leaders, community providers, and population health decision makers
Engage clinical investigators and research sites supporting obesity pipeline development
Present clinical, scientific, and economic data to healthcare institutions within assigned networks
Support Amgen-sponsored research and serve as study lead when applicable
Provide field observations and insights to internal stakeholders informing company strategy

Requirements

Doctorate degree plus 2 years medical affairs experience, or Master's degree plus 6 years, or Bachelor's degree plus 8 years
PharmD, PhD, MD, DO, or other doctoral degree preferred
7+ years in medically related field including 1 year clinical practice or research experience
2+ years as Medical Science Liaison in biotech or pharmaceutical company
Cardiometabolic and/or obesity expertise preferred
Strong relationship-building and scientific communication skills
Experience with assigned territory preferred
