Policy CoordinatorAdministers policies and procedures at the College that impact employees, students, academics, operations and the integrity of the College.What's in it for you?Elwood Staffing associates are eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package plus an exclusive savings program, including:Medical/Vision/Dental/Rx plansPolicy Coordinator Details:Contract to Hire position$ 25.00 to $ 26.00 / hourFirst Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)Responsible for coordination of policy and procedures documents to include the following actions such as review, update and retirement of existing policy and procedures, stored within the college policy management systemsOversees a process whereby draft policies are reviewed by constituency groups, the president's Cabinet, and the Board of Trustees, as appropriate; serves as administrative coordinator by drafting agenda, scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and performing similar support functionsProvides training to College policy owners and their designees on the College review process of drafting shared governance policies; establishes a standard template for use in policy development and ensures consistency in drafting and approving the layout and content of policy documentsEmploys exceptional organizational skills in managing digital documents; reviews and implements, as necessary, an automated, online system for reviewing and accepting feedback on draft policies; research and suggests more efficient procedures for policy development and review; establishes a cataloging system for organizing policies; establishes a cycle and process for the ongoing, routine review of policiesMaintains policy repository in cooperation with the Office of Information Services and Technologies, including establishing guidelines for the repository's use, auditing documents to ensure consistency with guidelines, and providing training to users; maintains a historical record of changes to policies and conducts research on past revisions or eliminations of policiesCommunicates routinely with stakeholders within the College to ensure that their needs regarding the documentation of policy making activities and decisions are metLeads or assists in special projectsPolicy Coordinator Qualifications:Associate's Degree and 3 years experience or, a combination of experience and education sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.Experience working in higher education, particularly within a community college or shared governance environmentExperience coordinating policy development, review, approval, implementation, and/or revision processesAdministrative experience, preferably supporting executive leadership, committees, or governance activities.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and celebrate diversity at all levels of our organization.
