The Urology Department at our institution, in collaboration with the local medical school, is on the lookout for a board-certified Urologist who has completed fellowship training in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery (URPS) to join our academic faculty. This role is crucial for supporting our ACGME-accredited fellowship in URPS and continuing our commitment to complex pelvic floor and reconstructive care.

This faculty position provides a chance to be part of a well-established and highly regarded urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery program within one of the top academic urology departments in the Southeast. The selected candidate will focus on developing a specialist referral practice that includes neuro-urology, urinary diversion, neuromodulation, complex urinary incontinence, bladder pain syndrome, surgical management of genitourinary fistulae, and pelvic organ prolapse. Clinical practice will encompass ambulatory, procedural, and surgical care for a diverse patient population in the region.

The practice is supported by a skilled Female Pelvic Health team, which includes five board-certified URPS faculty members and two PhD research faculty. Advanced Practice Providers work closely with surgeons to deliver patient care, and the clinical platform features on-site urodynamics and ultrasound services at two locations. Additionally, the program benefits from a robust referral network and multidisciplinary collaboration with gynecology, colorectal surgery, physical therapy, and rehabilitation services, along with access to advanced diagnostics and cutting-edge surgical technologies.

As a faculty member at the local medical school, the physician will have the opportunity to educate residents, fellows, and medical students, as well as participate in departmental conferences, quality improvement projects, and clinical research. Candidates with interests in bladder pain syndrome, regenerative medicine, urethral injury, clinical trial development, outcomes research, and medical education are highly encouraged to apply. Required Qualifications

• MD or DO degree

• Board Eligible/Certified in Urology

• Fellowship training in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery or equivalent advanced expertise in URPS or voiding dysfunction

• Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in North Carolina
