Kitchen Steward

Location: Poydras, 5354 Magazine St, New Orleans, LA 70115, USA Physical Requirements Ability to read and comprehend simple directions. Must use understanding, compassion, patience, tact, and maturity in dealing with residents, families, and visitors. Strength required is medium work. Lifting 50 lbs maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Job Specific Duties Receives and checks-in food and culinary supplies deliveries. Inventory management of culinary food and supplies. Distributes food and culinary supplies to multiple on-site kitchens/pantries. Prepares, seasons, and cooks appealing and nutritious meals for residents, employees, and guests. Lifting requirement of 50 lbs. Must have the ability to maintain a good relationship with the staff and residents. Preferred Qualifications Inventory management experience. 1 year Food service experience.
