Additional InformationWe are looking for a Board Certified Pediatric Ophthalmologist to take on a locum tenens role, providing inpatient NICU coverage in Texas.
Opportunity Details- Coverage Period: December 2026
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- On-call: Not required
- Total Hours: Approximately 48 hours
- Setting: Inpatient
- EMR System: Cerner
- Conduct screenings for Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP)
- Provide ophthalmology care for NICU patients
- Perform inpatient rounding
- Collaborate with nursing staff and neonatal care teams
- Care for the newborn patient population
- Board Certified in Ophthalmology
- Fellowship training is preferred
- Active Texas medical license is required
- Experience in Pediatric Ophthalmology is necessary
- ROP screening experience is preferred
- No on-call duties
- Consistent weekday schedule
- Supportive hospital environment
