RN - L&D Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience required License: Must have a valid nursing license Certifications: C-EFM, BLS, NRP Must-Have: Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment. Every other weekend and holiday required. On-call availability for 8 hours per 6-week scheduling period. Description:This position is for a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse.The nurse will assist in the labor and delivery process.Laboring nurses are expected to take postpartum patients when needed.The role requires the administration of medications and interventions as per protocols.The nurse will handle C-sections and assist during high-risk deliveries.Patient demographics include neonates, adolescents, and adults.The daily census ranges from 1 to 5 patients.The unit has 10 rooms designed for effective patient care.An interdisciplinary support team is available, including physical therapy and pharmacy.Special procedures for patient diagnoses may be required.Knowledge of baby-friendly protocols is essential.Nurses will experience a mix of laboring and postpartum care responsibilities.This is a collaborative environment with various support services available.All candidates must meet certification and experience requirements. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cynet HealthStaff
