Industrial Polisher / Metal Finisher (Stainless Steel Manufacturing) Location : Houston, TX Job Type: Full-Time Pay : $22-$25 per hour Overview and Company Background Are you an experienced Industrial Polisher, Metal Finisher, or Stainless Steel Polisher looking to join a stable manufacturing company? Their American-made products are trusted by businesses across the country, and they are seeking a skilled Industrial Polisher to help produce high-quality stainless steel components. Responsibilities As a Polisher, you will be responsible for grinding, blending, polishing, and finishing light-gauge (14-18 gauge) stainless steel components to meet quality standards and customer specifications. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, the ability to read engineering drawings, and experience using a variety of hand and power tools (e.g. angle grinders, etc.) You will play a key role in ensuring finished products meet appearance, functionality, and quality expectations while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Primary responsibilities include: Grind, polish, blend, and buff stainless steel surfaces to achieve a high-quality finish. Operate angle grinders, high-speed grinders, cut-off wheels, polishing wheels, handheld finishing tools, and other power tools. Remove weld marks, scratches, dents, burrs, and surface imperfections. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions. Measure and identify materials to ensure production specifications are met. Inspect finished components for quality, consistency, and cosmetic appearance. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing quality standards. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Previous experience as an Industrial Polisher, Metal Finisher, Stainless Steel Polisher, Fabrication Technician, Sheet Metal Fabricator, or Manufacturing Technician preferred. Experience using polishing equipment, buffers, handheld grinders, and other power tools. Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documentation. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality finished products. Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team.
