Lead CaregiverThe Lead Caregiver is responsible for providing caring and personalized assistance for residents living in our community.Required ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED preferredPrevious health care or geriatric experience preferredCNA or MA with 2 years of related experience or trainingCPR/First Aid certification strongly preferredAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out written/oral/visual instructionsAccountabilitiesLead, manage, and overall accountability for your team and their performanceTimely & Accountable Attendance: Upholding to work schedule, being ready to start work on time, remaining on the job for the whole duration of shift, and limited use of time off1440 Care for residents: Understanding and leading our 1440 care standards so you and your team ensure that each resident and each family has their needs metResponsible communication with families: communicating messages tactfully and timely with resident's families and ensuring the message has been received and correctly understoodCommunicate resident changes immediately; providing timely and detailed information to your Wellness Leader regarding any changes to a resident's needs or careOther Key ResponsibilitiesLeads and provides 1440 careWill provide compassionate and competent care for residents by performing the following services:Bathing, showering and grooming assistanceServe and collect food trays; assist residents with diningWheelchair and walking escortsToileting and incontinence care assistanceMeal, activity, and medication reminder assistanceWake up and turn down serviceUpkeep of resident roomsAnswers resident call signalsMedication assistance/medication administrationMaintains appropriate and complete documentation per company policiesInput information into Yardi/CareStreamAvailable to work weekends and/or on call as necessary as assigned by the Wellness CoordinatorWork toward continual improvement of the overall organizationPerform other duties as assignedGeneral Working ConditionsThis position entails standing for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
