Cognos DeveloperContract until 1/31/2024 Visa: USC,GC,GC-EAD,H4 Client: UPS Location: Immediate onsite in Alpharetta, Georgia 30005 for Hybrid model (3 days onsite 2 days remote) Interview Mode: VideoThe Cognos Developer is responsible for creating Cognos solutions, designing Cognos Reports and Frameworks and providing Cognos Report and Dashboard expertise to Cognos developers. In addition, the Cognos Developer is responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, planning, preparing, implementing, organizing, and executing developmental tasks and developing and delivering solutions to production.Position DutiesResponsible for the full life cycle of planning and implementing BI and Analytics solutions with Cognos.Skills8 + years of development and lead experience with Business Intelligence solutions using IBM Cognos BI and Analytics SuiteStrong communication and documentation skillsStrong quantitative and analytical skills and business knowledge.Ability to perform project management activities.Strong knowledge in IBM Cognos Business Intelligence v11.xxStrong Admin knowledge in Cognos 10/11 BI serversKnowledge in Cognos 11 installs in Windows & LinuxCognos 11 Server tuningCognos 11 SDK KnowledgeCognos 11 Power Play KnowledgeKnowledge of databases (Oracle) & SQL is a must.Strong understanding and working knowledge of Relational/Star Schema modeling and design as well as Web Services (COGNOS Web Services, HTML, XML, etc.)Knowledge of data and data manipulation techniques.ETL conceptsData ModelingData GovernanceOLAP toolsExperience with Compatible and Dynamic Cube DesignMandatory skillsAdvanced Cognos, Oracle PL/SQL Programming
