Role Description Investment Portfolio Manager – Boutique Investment Firm Location: Kerrville, Texas (Texas Hill Country) Position Type: Full-Time (In‑Office / Hybrid potential for the right fit) We are seeking a brilliant, self‑motivated Portfolio Manager to assist with trading, execution, research, and portfolio management, working closely under the senior Chief Investment Officer while driving independent research projects and implementation strategies. Trading & Execution: Manage daily trade execution, portfolio rebalancing, and order management with meticulous attention to detail. Independent Research: Conduct rigorous, bottom‑up fundamental research on equities and specialized asset classes, presenting clear, actionable investment theses. Collaborative Portfolio Management: Work alongside the senior Chief Investment Officer to monitor risk, evaluate macro trends, and refine core strategies. Project Ownership: Independently spearhead long‑term research initiatives and system optimizations from conception to full implementation. Qualifications Market Passionate: Genuine love for markets and discovering value, beating indexes. Intellectually Grounded: Strong foundation in economics and appreciation for philosophy. Experienced Allocation Mindset: Prior portfolio management or advanced analytical experience, demonstrating sound judgment. Adaptable & Self‑Reliable: Comfortable executing complex trade blocks and conducting thorough research independently. Expertise in Investment Strategies and Finance to develop client‑focused solutions. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field preferred. Strong quantitative and problem‑solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy. Effective written and verbal communication skills, able to clearly explain complex concepts. Proficiency with portfolio management tools (fundamental & technical) and standard office applications.
