Travel RN – Surgical / Telemetry (Nights)

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 or 48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups, including post-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary and interdisciplinary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
• Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and maintain professional accountability
• Perform drug titration and manage telemetry monitoring equipment, including Alaris pumps and lift equipment, within an EPIC EMR environment
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable nursing practice standards
• Float on a rotational basis as required by unit needs

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license eligible for or active in the state of Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient telemetry experience
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• 4 trauma credits required (must be completed within the first two weeks of assignment if not already obtained)
• NIHSS certification required prior to start date
• Demonstrated competence in drug titration

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Inpatient trauma experience
• Calm demeanor with strong collaboration and communication skills suited for a specialty surgical environment (GI, GU, ENT, Urology)
