Estimator - Electrical Contracting

A growing electrical contractor is seeking an Electrical Estimator to support commercial and industrial construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with early-career estimating or electrical construction experience who wants to grow within a stable and reputable contracting environment. You’ll work closely with senior estimators and project teams while gaining exposure to a wide variety of projects and preconstruction responsibilities. Project experience may include commercial office building, warehouses and distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, healthcare and institutional projects. Responsibilities Prepare and assist with competitive bid proposals and cost estimates Perform quantity takeoffs from electrical drawings and specifications Review blueprints, one-line diagrams, and construction documents Obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing Support labor, material, and equipment estimating efforts Utilize estimating software such as Accubid, ConEst, or McCormick Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field personnel Participate in pre-bid meetings and occasional site visits Assist with scope reviews, bid leveling, and value engineering Maintain estimating databases and historical pricing information Qualifications 1–5+ years of experience in electrical estimating or electrical construction Experience working for an electrical contractor preferred Understanding of commercial and/or industrial electrical systems Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications Familiarity with Accubid, OST / On-Screen Takeoff desired Knowledge of NEC codes and construction practices Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office Suite Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match Paid holidays and PTO Long-term career growth into Senior Estimator or Project Management Strong backlog of ongoing commercial and industrial work #J-18808-Ljbffr Liberty Personnel Services, Inc.
