Radiology - CT Tech

Radiologic Technologist - Nights This is a 13-week contract position. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights. The Radiologic Technologist operates radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment to perform radiographs as requested by physicians. This role involves adjusting technical factors in proportion to patient and body parts being examined while minimizing radiation exposure and following safety practices. The technologist assumes temporary responsibility for the patient during x-ray procedures and operates portable equipment including C-arms. Responsibilities also include patient transport, use of the hospital computer system and PACS, and performing clerical tasks. Additionally, the Radiologic Technologist is required to perform CT scans and meet the psycho-social needs of the populations served. Operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment effectively. Adjust technical factors for radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations. Follow radiation safety practices and protocols. Assume temporary responsibility for patients during x-ray procedures. Operate portable radiographic equipment and C-arms. Transport patients to and from radiology. Utilize hospital computer systems and PACS effectively. Perform clerical and administrative tasks as needed. Deliver care that meets the psycho-social needs of patients. Perform CT scans as required. Candidate must hold a valid ARRT certification and have experience in operating radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment. Additionally, proficiency in performing CT scans is required.
