Our client is seeking an experienced Millwork Project Coordinator / Project Manager / Estimator with a strong background in commercial architectural millwork and casework .

Please apply only if you have direct commercial millwork/casework experience.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3–5+ years of experience coordinating, managing, or estimating commercial millwork projects, specifically within architectural millwork, casework, or commercial interiors .
• Leadership & Culture: Demonstrated ability to take ownership, communicate effectively, solve problems proactively, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Technical Skills: Strong ability to read and interpret commercial blueprints, architectural drawings, shop drawings, finish schedules, and MEP drawings.
• Software: Experience with Bluebeam, Crow's Nest, Microvellum , or similar millwork/project management software is highly preferred.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial fabrication methods, finish carpentry, materials, construction processes, and AWI standards .
• Education: A degree in Engineering, CAD, Construction, or a related field is preferred; equivalent hands-on experience in commercial interiors or millwork will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

As a Project Coordinator / Project Manager , you will serve as the central point of coordination throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with General Contractors, architects, designers, drafting teams, fabrication personnel, and field installation crews.

Project Management

• Manage multiple commercial millwork projects from initial planning through fabrication and installation.
• Take ownership of project schedules, milestones, budgets, and overall execution.
• Monitor project progress and proactively address potential delays or challenges.

Client & General Contractor Relations

• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and General Contractors.
• Coordinate project requirements, schedules, site conditions, and installation activities.
• Maintain clear, professional, and consistent communication throughout each project.

Estimating & Financial Management

• Review plans, specifications, and project documents to support estimating and project planning.
• Monitor labor and material costs against project budgets.
• Identify and pursue change-order opportunities when project scope changes.
• Assist with monthly progress billing and overall project profitability.

Design & Problem Solving

• Work closely with engineering and drafting teams to address RFIs and resolve design issues.
• Review architectural and millwork details and help develop practical, cost-effective solutions.
• Assist with value-engineering efforts while maintaining the project's design intent and quality standards.

Production, Logistics & Scheduling

• Coordinate with production and fabrication teams to ensure projects remain on schedule.
• Communicate changing project requirements and schedules to field installation supervisors.
• Coordinate deliveries, installation schedules, and job-site requirements.
• Maintain momentum across multiple projects and proactively address scheduling conflicts.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure millwork fabrication and installation meet project specifications and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with applicable ADA requirements and AWI standards .
• Review completed work and help identify and resolve quality issues.
