L&D Beds 12 LD Beds
OR Suites on the unit for C-Sections 2
Triage beds 4
Postpartum beds 16
Births per day Month Year 160-200 month
Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios yes
Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS) ACLS/ NRP/ AWOHNN Fetal monitoring
Common diagnoses/Types of patients
Experience or 'Must have' skills We are not LDRP- we do require floating to mombaby- ( rare)
Are RNs required to titrate drips we circulate and do our own sections
Common titratable &/or set rate drips no
Charge Nurse/House Supervisor Does the charge nurse take an assignment charge nurse is free
Are there nurse aids/surgical techs on this unit surgical techs
OB/Neonatologist in house 24/7 yes
Anesthesia in house 24/7 yes
RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) yes
Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit Are RNs required to read their own strips What brand are the tele monitors no monitor techs/ they must read their own strips / we use watch child for monitors
EFM System
