Anesthesiologist

Riverside Walter Reed Hospital in Gloucester, VA, is seeking a dedicated Anesthesiologist for a day-only position with an excellent work-life balance. This role offers the opportunity to join a nonprofit, short-term acute care facility that is part of the Riverside Health System, providing comprehensive care to the community. The position features a favorable 2 weeks on, 1 week off schedule with no call responsibilities, allowing for ample personal time.

Practice Info

• Nonprofit, short term acute care facility
• 67-bed facility with a 24-hour emergency service and a 12,000-square-foot intensive care unit
• Direct access to Riverside Regional Medical Center's Level II trauma center, a nationally recognized Heart Center, and an 18-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
• Case assignments include Endo, Ortho, Ophthalmology, General, Urology, Vascular, GYN, ENT

Responsibilities

• Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtain and/or verify patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Compensation

• Salary: $450,000
• Sign-On Bonus Incentives: $100,000

Requirements

• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
• ECFMG and FLEX
• Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
• Currently licensed as a physician
