Site Reliability Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role joins a team responsible for the reliability and operational health of a large-scale trading platform. The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) will operate hands-on across the stack to improve platform and application observability, drive reliability improvements, and deliver measurable gains in operational efficiency across Global Markets. This position will work closely with core teams to execute platform modernization, cloud migration, harden production systems, and evolve support tooling.

Responsibilities:

• Actively monitor and support core infrastructure and components
• Execute automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency
• Build and enhance internal tools for platform support
• Resolve infrastructure issues and lead incident response to maintain platform stability
• Work closely with core teams on platform modernization and migration to the cloud
• Harden production systems and evolve support tooling

Requirements:

• Strong Python development experience
• Hands-on Django and REST API development
• Strong MySQL/database skills
• Deep Linux administration and troubleshooting experience
• Infrastructure engineering and automation background
• Experience with Ansible and CI/CD pipelines
• Observability and monitoring experience (Dynatrace preferred)
• Experience working in large-scale production environments
• Azure and/or AWS cloud experience

Desired skills:

• Knowledge of SRE, Reliability Engineering, and DevOps practices
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry and modern observability tools
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation frameworks
• Financial Services / Trading Platform experience

Pay range: $50.35 - $58.35 per hour
