Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist | Hempstead, New York

Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This per diem opportunity is seeking a skilled pharmacist with retail pharmacy experience to support day shifts from 10:45 AM to 7:15 PM starting October 1st, with additional shifts on October 2nd, 5th, and ongoing dates.

Location: Hempstead, NY
Schedule:

Days: 10:45 AM – 7:15 PM
Selected dates initially, with potential for recurring shifts

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately verify and dispense prescriptions in a fast-paced retail environment
Utilize PioneerRx software for order entry and workflow management
Provide patient counseling and support, including immunizations if certified
Collaborate closely with pharmacy technicians and healthcare team
Maintain compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Active, unrestricted New York State Pharmacist License required
Proven community or retail pharmacy experience is essential
Immunization certification preferred
Strong familiarity with PioneerRx pharmacy software highly desired
Spanish fluency is a plus but not mandatory; translation assistance will be available
