What You Will Do & Own As the Senior Manager, Accounting, you will be a hands-on leader responsible for driving the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of our core accounting operations. You’ll own critical pieces of the month-end close, lead Accounts Payable, strengthen internal controls, and help build the operational foundation of a rapidly growing, private‑equity‑backed healthcare staffing organization. This role is perfect for someone who loves getting into the details, thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, and is ready to step into a bigger leadership opportunity with real impact. ****This role can be based out of our Denver, CO office or Boca Raton, FL office and requires in-office work on Tue/Wed/Thur each week. Additionally, candidates will be required to work either Central or Eastern Time Zone hours.**** What You Will Do Month-End Close & Core Accounting Execution Own and execute key components of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close Prepare, review, and approve complex reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules Ensure financial reporting accuracy in accordance with U.S. GAAP Investigate and resolve discrepancies, unusual variances, and operational accounting issues Strengthen documentation, close checklists, and internal controls Drive continuous improvement to shorten close timelines and improve accuracy Accounts Payable Leadership Lead and mentor the AP team and oversee day-to-day AP operations Ensure timely invoice processing, payment execution, and vendor maintenance Partner with offshore/shared services teams to maintain accuracy and throughput Improve workflows, communication, and issue resolution across AP Enforce internal controls, policy adherence, and service-level expectations Process Improvement & Systems Optimization Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and reduce manual work Partner with Finance Systems and IT to optimize Sage Intacct and related tools Support automation, standardization, and scalable workflow design Document processes and strengthen operational controls as the company grows Team Leadership & Collaboration Lead, coach, and develop accounting team members, fostering accountability and continuous improvement Coordinate deliverables across onshore and offshore teams Establish clear KPIs, expectations, and quality standards Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Revenue Operations, Payroll, and other teams to improve data flow and operational accuracy Audit & Compliance Support internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules and documentation Maintain compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies Assist in developing SOX-ready processes as the organization scales What You Need to Bring CPA required Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 6-10 years of progressive accounting experience Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP Experience leading components of the month-end close and accounting operations Experience managing or overseeing Accounts Payable Advanced proficiency with ERP systems (Sage Intacct strongly preferred) Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and analytical capability Hands-on leadership style with a focus on execution, accountability, and process improvement Preferred Experience Combination of public accounting and industry experience Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth environments Background in healthcare staffing, professional services, or similar industries Experience improving or implementing accounting processes, controls, and automation Experience working with offshore/shared services teams What You Can Expect This is a high-visibility, high-impact role where you will directly influence the strength and scalability of our accounting operations.
