About the Position

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: Registered Nurse Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Cardiac Telemetry or PCU/ICU experience. Ability to read and interpret EKGs and telemetry strips. Experience with post-cardiac procedural care, including Ablations, cardiac catheterizations, Post Op Day 1 Open Heart, and permanent Pacemaker placements. Ability to administer and titrate IV medications such as insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone. Description: Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Telemetry unit. This unit comprises 29 beds with a patient ratio of 1:4. The staff includes Charge Nurses, Unit Secretaries, and Patient Care Technicians. Equipment includes Alaris IV Pumps, SCD machines, Hill Rom beds, and vital machines in each room. Documentation is performed using a designated system. This position requires full-time hours, including three weekend shifts per scheduling period. Floating policy applies, allowing contract nurses to assist in areas where they have demonstrated competency. We prioritize patient experience by fostering courtesy and respect in our interactions. Candidates must be responsive to patient needs and actively involve patients in their care. Advanced skills are necessary, including IV insertions, NGT placement, and chest tube maintenance.
