Job Title: RN - Med/Surg / Float Pool

Must-Have:
- Independent nursing function and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care
- Evaluate health status through ongoing collection and assessment of health data
- Perform health teaching and health counseling
- Provide therapy and treatment that is supportive and restorative to life and well-being either directly to the patient or through consultation with, delegation to, supervision of, or teaching of others
- Execute delegated medical functions
- Refer patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment
- Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans
- Document in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
- Use resources as needed
- Promote mission, vision, and values of the organization, and abide by service behavior standards
- Perform other duties as assigned


Description:
The position requires the RN to float to other departments based on business needs.
The RN may be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The requirements described must represent the knowledge, skills, minimum education, training, licensure, and experience needed.

Previous experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred.
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required, with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
Current RN license in the state of practice is required.
BLS certification by the American Heart Association is required.
ACLS certification as appropriate for unit or service is required.
Certification appropriate for unit or service is preferred.
