As an Assistant Manager I in the Retail Trade industry, you will play a crucial role in supporting the overall operations and success of the store. Your main objective will be to assist the Store Manager in achieving sales targets, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, and ensuring the smooth functioning of daily operations. You will be responsible for overseeing the store in the absence of the Store Manager, managing a team of sales associates, and ensuring that all store policies and procedures are followed. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to drive sales and improve the overall performance of the store.

Minimum qualifications include previous experience in a retail environment, preferably in a supervisory or assistant management role. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team, are essential. Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on building and maintaining positive customer relationships, are also required. Proficiency in point-of-sale systems and other retail software is necessary. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is also required.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field. Experience in visual merchandising and store layout design is also preferred. Knowledge of inventory management and loss prevention techniques is beneficial. Experience with sales forecasting and budget management is also preferred. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous.

Responsibilities include assisting the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and KPIs by implementing effective sales strategies and providing exceptional customer service. Overseeing the daily operations of the store, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory management, is also required. Supervising and training a team of sales associates, providing guidance and support to ensure they deliver excellent customer service and meet sales goals, is essential. Maintaining a clean and organized store environment, ensuring merchandise is properly displayed and stocked, is also required. Contributing to the development and implementation of marketing and promotional activities to drive customer traffic and increase sales is also part of the role.
