Margins and Collateral Specialist

Hudson River Trading (HRT) is seeking a highly motivated Margin and Collateral Specialist to join our PostTrade team. Our global trading platform supports trading across many asset classes and geographies, and the PostTrade team designs and operates the systems and processes that reconcile the firm’s trading with our various brokers and counterparties. Due to the high volume of trades and complexity of the system, we rely heavily on automation and are looking for candidates who have exceptional attention to detail. Strategic Initiatives is a growing priority for the team and we're looking for someone who has an entrepreneurial spirit and loves utilizing technology and automation tools to work on a wide scope of operational projects.About YouYou have an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong aptitude for building clean, scalable systems from the ground up, especially when working with complex dataYou are analytical, detail-oriented, and understand the importance of accurate margin data for managing risk, funding, and capitalYou take ownership of problems and are driven to improve systems through thoughtful, end-to-end solutionsYou thrive in collaborative environments and work seamlessly across technical and non-technical teamsResponsibilitiesExecute daily collateral functions around margin data management, margin reconciliation and handling disputesPartner with internal stakeholders to support margin replication, cost of capital analytics, and reconciliation workflowsArchitect and maintain a centralized margin and collateral data platform for external margin data storageDocument and maintain margin mappings and controlsSupport onboarding of new counterparties and ensuring data integration aligns with system architectureStay informed about evolving margin models and broker reporting practices and help translate them into scalable internal systemsQualifications3-5 years of experience in a Collateral, Margin, or Treasury functionStrong understanding of margining practices and products (OTC derivatives, futures, cleared swaps)Ability to design and optimize tools in close collaboration with engineering teams; SQL and/or Python familiarity is a plusClear communicator with strong documentation habits and cross-functional collaboration skillsThe estimated base salary range for this position is 100,000 to 130,000 USD per year (or local equivalent). The base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
