Job Description
Make a difference in the lives of students by delivering impactful psychological services in a supportive school setting. This contract opportunity offers the chance to collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to promote positive mental health and help students reach their full potential. The assignment runs from as soon as possible through June 11, 2027, with a 37.5-hour workweek.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and provide assessments to identify students’ learning and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with educators and families to develop, implement, and monitor intervention plans
- Offer counseling and consultative services to students, staff, and families
- Help design and support mental health programs and proactive interventions within school buildings
- Contribute to multidisciplinary teams for Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and special education eligibility
- Play an active part in school initiatives aimed at removing barriers to learning, moving beyond just assessment-focused tasks
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Michigan School Psychologist Certification (or a willingness to obtain Michigan licensure immediately upon offer)
- Prior experience working in a K-12 school environment
- Strong communication, consultation, and collaboration abilities
- Flexible, motivated, and able to work independently across multiple buildings
- Must be available to work on site (remote work is not permitted)
