Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members. Essential Functions Assess: Performs appropriate assessment of physical, social, and psychological status, including cognitive, communicative, and developmental skills as appropriate. Plan: Uses assessment information and critical thinking to collaboratively develop an individualized plan of care, involving patient, family, team, and physician as needed. Implement: Directs the interdisciplinary care team via delegation, coordination, and collaboration to provide or delegate care consistent with the plan of care and licensure provisions. Evaluate: Evaluates patient response to interventions, revises the plan of care as indicated, and reassesses changes as appropriate. Professionalism: Promotes the nursing profession, adheres to legal/ethical standards, maintains timely documentation, and understands legal implications of care delivery. Location & Schedule Location: Intermountain Health locations; varies by posting. Scheduled Weekly Hours typically 30-36 per week depending on role. Compensation & Benefits The hourly range and sign-on/relocation details vary by posting but may include a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for experienced nurses.
