The Project Manager is responsible for managing project resources, including finances, labor, documentation, and schedules, to ensure successful project delivery.This position interfaces with customers, professional engineers, architects, utility providers, the Washington State Department of Enterprise Services and Commerce, and various subcontractors. The Project Manager oversees functional performance testing and other grant- or contract-required activities and ensures all reporting is completed accurately and on time.The role also serves as the primary customer contact, including pricing discussions and change order negotiations. In addition, the Project Manager supervises subcontractors and suppliers and regularly visits project jobsites to support execution.Manage the transition of projects from pre-contract through design, construction, and completion phasesIdentify appropriate internal and external resources to meet project goals and requirementsServe as the primary point of contact for clients during post-contract phasesDevelop and manage project schedules and construction plansCreate site-specific safety plans to prevent personnel injuries and ensure safety complianceManage the billing and invoicing process to clients and from subcontractorsMonitor, review, and manage overall project financial performanceAssist with scope development and identify creative solutions to project challenges and issuesDraft and manage subcontractor documentsOversee requirements and reporting for utility incentives and state commerce grantsStrong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skillsHighly effective at managing resources, including time, schedules, finances, and subcontractorsProficient in project planning and scheduling, including associated tools and softwareKnowledge and understanding of building systems, including:Building Automation & Energy Management Control SystemsHVAC systemsLighting and lighting controlsEnergy metering (electric, gas, and water)Ability to read and understand project documentation (plans, specifications, and contracts)Ability to work independently with minimal supervisionHighly organized with strong analytical skillsRepetitive motion, including substantial use of wrists, hands, and fingersSedentary work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects; walking and standing required occasionallyClose visual acuity required for tasks such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing computer monitors, and extensive readingClimbing, including ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and similar structures using hands, arms, feet, and legsAnnual base salary rangesfrom$80,000-$100,000+depending on experience and years of experienceAdditional information about ourbenefitsFull-time, exemptTypical Monday – Friday working hours with flexibility as neededEngineering or construction management undergraduate degree preferredEquivalent combination of education and experienceIndustry experience preferredATS is an equal opportunity employer and we are committed to complying with all federal, state, and local laws providing equal employment opportunities.
