Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an LDRP position in Nashville, TN, requiring Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby experience with night shift availability.

Details

• LDRP setting within a hospital environment
• Traveler will float between the Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby units
• Patient population includes obstetrical patients, as well as the prison population — comfort with this population is required
• Responsibilities include antepartum care, obstetrical triage, and circulating for C-sections
• External fetal heart monitoring (EFM) is used in this role
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM

Requirements

• Active TN state RN license or compact multi-state license currently in hand — no pending licenses accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, S.T.A.B.L.E., CPI (MAB accepted in lieu of CPI), NIH
• Minimum 1 year of L&D and Mother Baby nursing experience required
• Proficiency in Labor & Delivery management and C-section circulating required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card (PDF copies) required for consideration

Additional Information

• Orientation consists of two 8-hour shifts followed by two 12-hour department orientation shifts
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply; however, first-time travelers must have 2 years of experience to qualify
• Local candidates are accepted
• Facility enforces a strict no-call policy
