Blue Line Restaurant is looking for a dependable, hardworking Prep Cook who takes pride in preparing fresh, high-quality food while helping keep our kitchen running smoothly. - Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, measuring, and portioning food.
- Assist cooks by ensuring ingredients are ready before each shift.
- Prepare sauces, soups, salads, and other menu items according to recipes.
- Label, date, rotate, and properly store food items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed.
- Monitor inventory and notify management when supplies are running low.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines.
- Assist with receiving deliveries and stocking inventory.
- Help with additional kitchen duties as assigned.
- Previous kitchen or food service experience is preferred but not required-we're willing to train the right person.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow recipes and directions.
- Dependable with excellent attendance.
- Team player who is willing to help wherever needed.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
