Senior Accounts Payable Manager

Position Overview

Atrium is seeking on behalf of our client a Senior Accounts Payable Manager to lead the Accounts Payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations. This role will drive process improvements, oversee technology implementations, and ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead Accounts Payable operations, including invoice processing, payments, reconciliations, and vendor support to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Serve as a key process owner for SAP S/4HANA implementation and process standardization initiatives to enhance system efficiency.
• Drive process improvements through automation, workflow optimization, and technology-enabled solutions to streamline operations.
• Improve payment performance, cash flow management, and operational efficiency through strategic planning and execution.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and financial policies to maintain regulatory and organizational standards.
• Manage and develop teams while partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to enhance service delivery and operational performance.

Required Experience/Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, Procure-to-Pay, or related operations.
• 5+ years of leadership experience within a shared services or centralized operations environment.
• Experience leading ERP implementations or large-scale process transformation initiatives, including SAP S/4HANA.

Preferred Experience/Skills

• MBA, CPA, or related professional certification.
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and process optimization programs.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required.
