Employment & Labor Relations Associate

A leading AM Law 100 full-service law firm is seeking an Employment & Labor Relations Associate with 2+ years of experience to join its Chicago office. With more than 1,250 attorneys nationwide, the firm offers a collaborative, team-oriented environment and a nationally respected Employment & Labor practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an associate looking to build a long-term career representing employers in both employment counseling and litigation, while working alongside experienced practitioners on sophisticated workplace matters. The ideal candidate will enjoy a varied practice with opportunities to advise clients on day-to-day employment issues while also handling complex employment disputes. Responsibilities Advise management-side clients on a broad range of employment law matters Handle employment litigation through all stages of the litigation process Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents Provide strategic employment counseling to employers on workplace issues Assist with wage and hour litigation, including collective and class actions Collaborate with attorneys across the firm's Employment & Labor practice on sophisticated matters Develop practical legal solutions tailored to clients' business objectives Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive, high-quality legal service Qualifications 2+ years of Employment & Labor experience Experience in management-side employment counseling and/or litigation Experience with wage and hour collective and class actions is a plus Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills Strong academic and professional credentials Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment Strong attention to detail and sound professional judgment Admitted to and in good standing with the appropriate State Bar Opportunity to join a nationally recognised Employment & Labor practice Exposure to both employment counseling and litigation matters Collaborative and supportive team culture Direct client contact and meaningful responsibility Life insurance Long-term disability coverage Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Strong platform for professional development and long-term career progression Our advertisements use salary and experience as a guide only.
