PCU Medical Registered Nurse- Experienced Nights

Overview AdventHealth is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive, holistic patient care in a full‑time night shift position in Apopka, Florida. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, evaluating physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, and regularly evaluate and revise these plans as necessary. Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions. Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self‑care strategies to promote understanding and compliance. Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent organizational and multi‑tasking skills. Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures. Ability to work as a team player within a unit. Effective verbal and oral communication and problem‑solving skills. EKG competency (as required by unit protocols). Education Associate's Degree in Nursing (required). Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred). Work Experience 1+ year in an acute care hospital setting (preferred). Licenses and Certifications Registered Nurse (RN) – required. Basic Life Support – CPR (BLS) – required.
