Havenwyck Hospital is a Joint Commission-accredited and licensed psychiatric hospital, overlooking Lake Galloway in Auburn Hills, Michigan. We specialize in providing comprehensive, compassionate behavioral health services to children, adolescents and adults. POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Supervisor, Environmental Services, works as a team member to provide for a high state of cleanliness and order throughout the Hospital, Residential Treatment Center and Branches.

We are seeking a dynamic and talented Housekeeper to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Cleans and services nursing units, patient rooms, baths, bathrooms, and business offices.
• Cleans and mops floors.
• Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Cleans windows and window sills.
• Empties trash baskets and arranges furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion.
• Uses necessary equipment and supplies in proper manner to accomplish job tasks.
• Detects unclean areas and takes necessary action to insure that the Hospital cleaning standards are met.
• Exercises initiative and judgment in maintaining assigned area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Prepares soiled linen for pick up by contract laundry.

Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Previous housekeeping work experience preferred.
• Employees must be in good standing (employment/corrective action history, performance evaluations, etc.) to be considered for an internal transfer.
