Management Assistant (Purchasing)

Organized & Analytical Management Assistant – Purchasing Team The City of Moreno Valley is seeking an Organised & Analytical Management Assistant to support purchasing and departmental operations through a combination of analytical, administrative, and project coordination responsibilities. In this role, you will assist with purchasing processes, vendor coordination, budget tracking, contract and agreement administration, data analysis, reporting, and special projects that directly support departmental goals and organizational success. You will work closely with management, internal teams, consultants, and external partners while helping ensure projects, documentation, and operational activities are completed accurately and efficiently. Ideal Candidate Our ideal candidate brings strong communication skills, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Candidates with experience in purchasing support, public administration, budgeting, contracts, operations analysis, or project coordination are strongly encouraged to apply. The strongest candidates will possess experience supporting purchasing, budgeting, contracts, procurement processes, project coordination, or administrative analysis functions, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, spreadsheets, and database systems in the public sector. Minimum and Desired Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in finance, public or business administration or a closely related field; OR, equivalent related work experience; AND At least one (1) year of professional experience performing administrative, operations, budgetary and similar analyses.
