Job Opportunities Search through Whiteside County's employment opportunities. Sheriff's Office Employment Opportunities We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Nurse Practitioner. This is a part-time position working daily for approximately 25 hours a week. Salary in range of $25.00 - $27.13 an hour. Responsibilities Performs a variety of nursing care functions such as, ordering medications, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, examining inmates using nursing assessment skills and monitoring physical condition and reactions to various treatments, obtaining laboratory specimens and providing emergency treatment Prepares and maintains medical records and histories such as recording physician's orders, charting medications, recording patient reactions and behavior. Evaluates inmates after altercations or use of force incidents and documents findings appropriately in the medical record. Requirements Valid LPN license in the state of practice Strong communication and interpersonal skills If offered the position, you must pass a background check and drug screen Applications may be picked up at the Whiteside County Law Enforcement Center, 400 N.
