Production Lead

Lapeyre Stair has a position available for a Production Lead. This individual will be a key player in our manufacturing operations.


Lapeyre Stair constructs precision-built metal stair systems using a state-of-the-art engineering and manufacturing system. The Lapeyre Stair product line includes Alternating Tread stairs, Steel Egress stairs (welded and bolted) as well as crossover systems, exit and intermediate platforms, and safety gates. Job Responsibilities and Requirements


Responsibilities

• Responsible for leading and directing production personnel
• Provides on-shift workflow direction to the factory team
• Actively leads and participates in plant safety, housekeeping , and lean manufacturing programs
• Develops and maintains high standards for the quality of the finished goods leaving the factory
• Manages labor resources on shift and communicates staffing needs to Production Manager
• Provides real-time personnel feedback to the Production Manager and also participates in performance reviews
• Holds people accountable for the execution of documented policies and procedures
• Identifies and encourages training opportunities
• It is essential that this position be performed at the facility.

Requirements

• High school education or GED
• Previous manufacturing experience
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and supervisory skills
• Highly motivated team player possessing continuous improvement mindset
• Interest in coaching, mentoring, and developing people
• Above average PC skills for email and MS Office applications
• Problem solving and issue resolution skills
• Must be able to perform the essential job requirements identified in the Functional Job Description for this position, Including the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.

Desired Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience
• Understanding of 5S and Lean Manufacturing concepts
• Bachelor, Associate or Technical degree, or equivalent experience
