Job Title: OR RN Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in specialty License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS (PALS preferred) Must-Have: 2-3 years of experience in the specialty is required. Ortho experience required. Must have experience passing the arms in and out for Robotics. Must have EPIC experience. Experience with all specialties for evening/night shift required. Must be comfortable circulating cases as needed. Charge nurse experience is a plus. Description: The role involves working in the operating room setting. You will be required to manage various surgical cases, including general, ENT, orthopedic, robotics, trauma, and more. Emergent cases will also be part of the responsibilities. Scrubbing is required for RNs, and previous experience in this area is beneficial. There will be night coverage with two techs, and the RN will be the only one present during this shift. Call requirements include one weeknight on-call shift and one weekend 24-hour on-call rotation per month. Response time for call is expected to be 30 minutes. Flexibility to float to outpatient surgery as needed is also part of the job. The position requires collaboration and teamwork within the operation room staff, who are primarily travelers. Staff will be responsible for turning over rooms as part of their duties. Additional support and training may be available for those with minimal experience in certain service lines. Overall, the role requires adaptability to meet the unit's needs effectively.
