Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)

Description: Cross posting of job ID: 3287719. RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR. Must be able to work holidays, possibly of taking care of COVID patients. Traveler will be assigned to an Inclement Weather Team.

Required Skills / Certs / Exp:

• Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years
• Traveler Experience: Unit WILL ACCEPT 1st time Traveler
• Skills: EPIC EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. Must be able to take insulin and heparin drips.
• Certs: BCLS

Preferred Skills / Certs / Exp:

• CPI, Charge nurse exp.

Job Details:

• Target Ratios: 1:6-7
• Shift: 12HR NIGHTS; 18:45 - 07:15. 36 or 48 hours accepted. If 48, then no OT billed until after 48 hours.
• Charge role is required for night travelers. 13-26 weeks accepted.
• RTO: 7 days MAX For AYA AUTO OFFER
• Call Requirement: Call required if put on call prescheduled shift.
• Float Requirement: Floating to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding.
• Weekend Requirement: Traveler will be assigned to every other weekend.
• Must be able to work holidays, possibly of taking care of COVID patients. Traveler will be assigned to an Inclement Weather Team.
• Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.

Patient Diagnoses: Adults and geriatrics. General Med/Surg Patients. Daily census ~43.

• Heparin Drips
• Wound Vac Drsg Changes
• High Flow Oxygen
• We occasionally have limited short term BiPap with respiratory support. No additional training needed. Appropriate for all med/surg nurses. No PCU level patients on this unit.

Unit Systems (Medication, Documentation, Communication): PYXIS EPIC, SBAR

Scheduling Type: Per Unit Needs + Preferences relayed to management

Unit Orientation: 24 hrs.

Scrubs: Not Provided. Navy

Submission Process:

• All units are utilizing Clinical for direct profile review
• Former Novant/New Hanover employees (PERM/PRN/EP) must wait 12 months before applying. Disclosure required (with hospital name/dates employed) at submission; facility approval needed.
• Current travel Per Diem clinicians aren't eligible for travel contracts they must choose one. Include status and intent in the submission.
• Local candidates (50 miles): Lower rate applies.
• RTO: Up to 7 days auto approved (no holidays). Must work 2 of 3 major holidays. No RTO during first week. All RTO must be pre-approved. Cannot request additional RTO after signing.
• NC or Compact license pending OK for submittal.
• Floating: Candidates must be open to floating within/near facility per job description.
• Travel pairs: Allowed (must be on different units and disclosed).
• Charting: See job description.
• References can be pending at submission.
• Modules Required: Non-billable (expect 2-10 hrs).
