Bookkeeper

Ascendo Resources is partnering with a well-established accounting firm in Midtown, New York to find an experienced Bookkeeper to join their accounting team. Salary range is up to $60,000 with excellent benefits.

You'll own the books in QuickBooks, from transaction entry through month-end reconciliations, in a collaborative environment that values accuracy and integrity.

What you'll do:

• Enter and review transactions in QuickBooks Desktop & Online
• Run bank, credit card, loan, sales tax, and payroll reconciliations
• Prepare journal entries and support balance sheet reconciliations
• Support payroll adjustments and sales tax activity
• Help produce financial reports for internal and external stakeholders

What you bring:

• 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping with double-entry and GL experience
• 3+ years in QuickBooks Desktop and/or Online
• 3+ years with payroll and sales tax calculations
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
