Adult Services Assistant

The Itasca Community Library is seeking someone with excellent customer service, and organizational skills to join our Adult Services team. In this traditional suburb, you'll have lots of opportunities to work with seniors and families. The Adult Services Assistant will staff a service desk to assist patrons, work with a collaborative team, promote library services, and perform notary duties. This position requires: College degree required, with public library experience preferred Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and organizational skills. The ability to communicate effectively, work with interruptions, and work independently and as a team. The knowledge and ability to use computers and relevant software and equipment, and show patrons how to use them. The ability to perform basic troubleshooting of library equipment and technology. Must have reliable transportation and be able to work days, evenings, and weekends. No phone calls, please. Location Itasca Community Library, DuPage County Hours Schedule (16 hours per week): Monday: 5-9 p.m.; Wednesday: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.; Friday: 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.; weekends on a rotating basis $17-$18/hour (DOQ), with paid vacation and sick time included #J-18808-Ljbffr Illinois
