Dietitian - PD

Department Nutritional Services works under the supervision of the Clinical Nutrition Manager to provide nutritional care, including counseling to patients and their families, documenting and maintaining nutrition-related records, assessing nutrition status, developing patient plans of care, and acting as a nutritional consultant to the health care team. The role also serves as a patient advocate and liaison between the healthcare team, food service operations, and the patient. Responsibilities Assess patients for nutrition status and risk, develop and implement nutrition care plans. Document and maintain nutrition-related records accurately within established timeframes. Act as a nutrition consultant, resource person, and educator for patients and medical personnel. Facilitate teamwork through timely and accurate communication and documentation to ensure high quality, seamless patient care across the continuum of care. Assist in the development of policies, procedures, and standards of care for clinical services. Maintain a high level of professionalism and productivity under varying workloads and patient populations. Adhere to food safe practices and maintain a sanitary and orderly work environment. Utilize hospital supplies and equipment cost‑effectively and maintain equipment and work areas. Participate in ongoing education activities and department meetings as appropriate. Comply with hospital and department policies and procedures. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics required; Master’s degree preferred. Must currently be a Registered Dietitian in good standing and credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration. ServSafe Certification via an accredited American National Standards Institute preferred. Minimum of 3 years clinical dietetics experience in an acute care hospital. Computer skills preferred. Spanish speaking preferred. Pay Range The hourly rate for this position is $48.72 - $60.90.
