Sr. Project Manager

DescriptionMust be local to Chicago. Position will sit downtown Chicago. Banking or financial services experience is a must have. Waterfall/Agile Experience. Scrum Master experience a nice to have.Experience managing multiple projects at once (2-3) Additional Skills & QualificationsProject Planning & ExecutionDevelop and manage comprehensive project plans using a waterfall methodology (initiation, requirements, design, build, test, deployment)Define scope, timeline, deliverables, and resource requirementsEstablish milestones, critical paths, and dependenciesDrive adherence to formal stage-gate governance processesStakeholder ManagementCollaborate with business stakeholders Act as the primary point of contact between business and technology teamsProvide regular status reporting, risk updates, and executive-level communicationsFacilitate steering committee meetings and decision forumsRequirements & DocumentationEnsure clear, detailed business requirements and functional specificationsPartner with Business Analysts to validate traceability from requirements to deliveryMaintain project documentation including charters, plans, RAID logs, and status reportsRisk, Issue, and Change ManagementProactively identify, track, and mitigate risks and issues (RAID logs)Drive change control processes with proper documentation and approvalsEnsure alignment with regulatory, audit, and compliance standards (e.g., consumer protection, lending regulations)Experience LevelExpert LevelJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70.00 - $75.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
