Warehouse Forklift Operator 1st Shift

Position Description Ryder is hiring a Storeroom Attendant / Forklift Operator in Margate, FL — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about. Warehouse Positions Pay: Weekly Hourly Pay $18.97 per hour Schedule: First Shift Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:00pm Various warehouse fulfillment specialist roles at Ryder support distribution across the US. Products Being Handled: Management of inbound products such as bolts, cables, reels, wires, anchors, etc. Equipment: Sit-Down Forklifts and Pallet Jacks. Job Responsibilities Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting. Operate forklift and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Accurately pick and pack orders, audit inventory, perform tote induction, staging of products, and load/unload trucks. Maintain day to day paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc. Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours of production. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience (preferred). Valid Forklift Operator’s License, certified. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted and up to 35 lbs for other tasks. Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift or push/pull items up to 35 lbs. High technical aptitude, including use of Outlook and Excel for tracking shipments and data entry. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service skills. Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. Adept at working within a diverse work environment and building professional relationships at all levels. Highly thorough, dependable, punctual with a good attendance record.
