.box { width:100%; height: auto; padding: 30px;} Mechanical EngineerWe are currently in search of a Mechanical Engineer to join our Research and Development department of the Marquardt Group in our location Rochester Hills (USA). The Mechanical Engineer leads the development of automotive interior switches from concept through production launch. This role requires product development experience, proficiency with Siemens NX CAD software, knowledge of GD&T principles, and an understanding of simulation and testing methodologies. The ideal candidate possesses automotive design and manufacturing knowledge, takes ownership of assigned projects, and leads product development from concept through launch while collaborating with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products. Essential Responsibilities:Lead the mechanical engineering activities for assigned projects throughout the product lifecycleDevelop designs, drawings, and specifications necessary to support the development of new products and modifications to existing productsDevelop mechanical engineering requirements based on system specifications and customer expectations with support from senior engineering staff as requiredInvestigate product and design issues and implement practical, cost-effective solutions, seeking guidance on complex technical challenges when neededPerform and interpret engineering calculations including kinematic analysis, performance analysis, stress analysis, and tolerance studiesConduct engineering validation testing, support DV and PV testing activities, interpret results, and implement design improvementsCollaborate with industrial engineers, tooling engineers, manufacturing personnel, and suppliers in the development of production equipment and component toolingDevelop and maintain project schedules and engineering deliverables for assigned programPrepare and deliver customer presentations related to new designs, product changes, and engineering updatesCoordinate engineering activities across cross-functional teams to support program objectivesContribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support the development of engineering best practices. Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field3 to 7 years of mechanical product development experience, preferably in the automotive industryProficiency in Siemens NX 3D CAD software is required.
